These two cars, especially the Virgo tend to bring them out. Drive it around Washington Beach and Ocean Beach. Downtown and around the Airport seem to be a good places to go too. The edge of Little Havana near Downtown is kind of good, but too deep and they seem to disappear. Driving a sports car, especially on Star Fish Island, seems to make the Esperanto scarce. If you don't find an Esperanto soon, get out and steal another similar type car or Taxi, drive for a minute, hop out and steal another, then drive it around for a minute and repeat the process.
This seems to work well to get the Esperantos out. By the time you try all these strategies one should eventually appear because sometimes after just driving around for a very, very long time the game just starts spitting them out.
But if it doesn't then stop by the hotel and save the game then reload it and try again. If that doesn't work then exit the game, restart it and try again. It seems to me that sometimes the random generator has to be reset. The only way to find one sometimes is to just keep driving around till it appears. Be sure to familiarize yourself with the Esperanto.
It looks a lot like the Idaho and the Virgo, and you may pass by it and not even know it. I'll continue to study these results further and see if I can find an absolute sure-fire way to spawn the thing.

User Info: gazman As with all the cars needed for the Sunshine Autos lists that don't have a fixed spawn location, there is simply no way to guarantee successfully tracking one down. Especially once you only need that car to complete a list, the game seems to make that model inordinately rare. Best advice is to forget about it and do something else, while keeping half an eye out for one, then when one comes along, drop what you were doing and grab it User Info: room Sign Up for free or Log In if you already have an account to be able to ask and answer questions.
The one common problem with the Esperanto, however, is its notoriously bad brakes - a problem that is only exacerbated by the vehicle's weight. When traveling at high speed, it takes some time to bring the vehicle to a stop which, besides often causing minor accidents, becomes a potentially fatal problem in GTA III , where Claude is unable to jump from a moving vehicle, exposing him to serious danger in a fast-moving Esperanto about to explode. The car's handling is highly responsive, but again, the vehicle's size and weight cause problems, predisposing it to two-wheeling and loss of control when overcompensating for a swerve at high speeds.
However, its huge mass absorbs damage quite well, making it a good vehicle for ramming smaller ones and even comparably sized ones off the road. Usually using the handbrake with this car is more effective than using the main braking system.
The Esperanto is powered by a relatively lazy-feeling V6 engine, which is paired with a 5 speed gearbox. Overall, it is rather slow and dreary, in that acceleration is very poor and top speed is not very high. Handling is fairly acceptable, though some understeer can be felt. The suspension can be described as moderately firm, yet soft enough to cope with the rough streets of Liberty City.
When crashed, this car appears to cope rather well. However, it is easy for the engine to become damaged. Roman Bellic owns a fleet of black Esperantos he uses as taxis for his business before the mission Hostile Negotiation , before they are replaced by grey Cavalcades. They are only seen in the mission Prologue. The vehicle itself does not appear in GTA V. It appears to have bigger wheels and darker windows compared to the normal Esperanto, although it lacks an interior.
However, it is simply a mere prop and it cannot be driven by the player. GTA Wiki Explore. The Games. The Vehicles. Community Noticeboard About Staff Promotion. Media Trivia Talk page rules Blocking.
