It can be a little bit concerning when fish don't eat but after getting to you and then being moved again to another tank it could be that he's just settling. Do you have any bloodworms? Whilst they're not an all in one diet for fish and they should only be fed as a treat they are often too tempting to resist for our fishy friends, my discus are huge fans of the odd steamed mussel also.
Just another couple of ideas but please don't panic just yet. When he's hungry, he'll eat. I will try to have patience, at what point should I worry? Would it be better to place him into my tropical aquarium?

Since the puffer is currently acclimated to fesh water with aquarium salt I decided to slightly raise the aquarium salt in my freshwater and slowly acclimate my puffer. This has been done over the course of the entire day! Well, the little guy is doing great. He perked up even more than his previous peeking up over leveling out the peramitors! However, he is still not eating. But, I have a feeling this is more over an excited exploration and the lack of live food!
So, with the three gallon I decided I would set it up and go get some live ghost shrimp. Tomorrow, once he is further acclimated I will try it.
If nothing else I have some new cleaners for the tank or I am sure my axie will eat them. I can't beleive no one around here carries bladder snail or has an infestation I can mooch off of He's been doing great in the community tank.
He doesn't bother anyone and everyone leaves him alone. So, after I acquire my new aquarium I will most likely attempt to get him a new friend. Maybe a bumblebee goby or five. Or another puffer or two.

I'm not sure if that is what it really is, because it kinda resembles a figure 8 or a green spotted puffer. My problem is that the little guy won't eat for me So far i've tried to feed him flakes, frozen brine shrimp, frozen bloodworms, and i even got two long finned danios if he felt like nipping.
The store claimed to have had him for quite some time, and they didn't keep him brackish at all, so i didn't think it would really be too much of an issue. Usually brine shrimp and bloodworms get spit all over the tank. They DON'T eat flakes, regardless to what anyone says. Did you put it into a newly established tank? Puffers are highly sensative to ammonia and nitrite, and would likely be stressed and refuse food if this is the case. I could actually hand feed her. For the last 3days she has not been eating. Today I put a shrimp right in her face and she ignored it. She also rests on the bottom of the tank in the sand a lot.
Any ideas? Or could this be normal? When a puffer stops eating puffers are usually pigs with fins , it's either a water issue or the puffer have an internal parasite infection problem, or the puffer is constipated. Check your water parameters and when in doubt to a water change, internal parasite requires metronidazole, constipation requires stop feeding for a few days and when resuming, feed brine shrimps the shrimp have fiber that helps digestion.
Epsom salt also seems to help with constipation in fish. Test your water for a rise in ammonia, nitrite and nitrates. Try a partial water change and see if it helps. M y A quarium C lub.
